When you come after they close, you can see all the people who are anticipating people being let down by not making it on time before they sell out. Thats how good they are! Our donut was not greasy, perfectly crisp, and the sweetness is exactly what you want when you treat yourself to a nice expensive donut. Their showcase is small but mighty. And the fact that this is all vegan just puts out that vegan food is good! Its just who is in charge of making it. Its so good I imagine everyone tries to make a stop to get a donut, so they sell out quick!

Donut Run is amazing. I've lived in Silver Spring for over nine years and never been inside. My wife and went and got donuts for a Shabbat/Hannukkah party that we and our guests love. We had both the original glazed and jelly filled donuts. We look forward to returning and trying more flavors.

2.4.25 My colleague let me try two donuts that she purchased, which were the blueberry whip and French toast. I loved the French toast, which is a maple syrup donut. The blueberry whip was good, however the powdered sugar, which was very fine tickled my throat. In perusing the menu, there are a lot of flavors that I am interested in trying. The bakery is out of the way for me, but is worth the trip.

Went on a donut run and so glad I did. This vegan donut spot is amazing. Really innovative flavors and I enjoyed all the selections. -Glaze- always have to get that flavor. 5/5 -Whipped Matcha- a little messy but delicious. 5/5 -Pistachio lemon cream- A-MAZING. 5/5 -DC Crumbcake- also messy but so so good. 5/5 Cant wait to try other flavors!

The best donuts in DC hands down. My bf and I are obsessed, so good. My " go-to" is chocolate sprinkles and the donut holes. Do not sleep on the donut holes they have a great deal and are so yummy. Try to go early bc they run out of their best sellers and check their instagram because they post what goodies they'll have that day. The store is sort of a "grab and go", does not really offer a place to seat and eat the donuts and coffee. Wish they would change.

This place has a line out the door for a reason! A great vegan donut place that has non vegans flocking to it means it is amazing. They have such an extensive variety of donuts and $33 is not bad for a dozen considering how large and delicious they are. They have filled, cake, and yeast donuts. A wide variety of flavors that you really cannot believe are vegan. We got a dozen so working our way through them. The best so far was the Carmel apple since it is tough to find a vegan version of it. Can't go wrong with the blueberry lemon even if it is a cake not a yeast style. They have specials all of the time based on the season so make sure to come back. Lovely staff that keep the line moving quickly. There is no indoor seating due to the small size and they only allow for six people at a time inside. Be ready to wait for a bit, but it is always worth the time and hike to get out here.

First, I hear vegan and I admit I get turned off. Do NOT let that deter you. Second, I've been to Donut Run twice and both times there is a line. They are a small shop that can sell out so don't wait until the afternoon to go!! Third, I came for Apple cider donuts because .... fall :) I also got an apple fritter, a Samoa donut and a raspberry ghost--the latter bc two people in front of me did and it sounded good. So far, I've tried the Apple fritter and the raspberry ghost. The latter may be my favorite jelly filled donut ever!! There's plenty of raspberry jelly and it's perfectly soft with powdered sugar on top. The apple fritter has visible bits of apple and that perfect cinnamon flavor. I'm glad Donut Run is only a quick car ride from where I live :)
